As a decentralized domain name service provider based on the Internet Computer, we aim to serve as your gateway to the Web3 world and provide great user experience.
Today, we are pleased to announce that we are switching our pricing model from ICP token-based pricing to fixed USD pricing, the amount of ICP needed will be calculated dynamically during the registration process. ICP price is updated every 10 minutes via canister HTTP outcalls(thanks to the excellent feature provided by IC).
The new USD pricing model aims to reduce price volatility introduced by the ICP token price, it also enables us to integrate more payment options in the future, e.g. USD stablecoins, BTC, ETH, etc. This is a vital step towards a sustainable future for ICNS.

This upgrade will be executed at 2023–02–24 10:00 UTC. Before the upgrade, registration and renewal prices will remain the same as before.
